Now, I never thought I would be someone to wear this pattern. Gingham? I like it but it's not really something I gravitated towards. I always thought that gingham should be left to porcelain dolls and children under the age ten. But the more I saw it on blogs and fashion magazines, the more intrigued I became with the pattern. I was looking for dresses for work one day when I came across this gingham shift dress from Asos. The pattern caught my eye and I loved the loose, semi-slouchy style. I thought - perfect for work! When I received the dress in the mail and tried it on, I still was not convinced. So I sent it to my fashion confidante, my mom.
She, of course, loved it - which had me convinced enough. But then she sent me a throw back picture (see here) in an almost identical outfit and I was sold. Like mother, like daughter - thirty plus years later. What's not to love? Thanks, Mami! Another great mother/daughter fashion moment for the books! And if you're reading this, I love you! :)
