What I'm Loving: NYC

I absolutely love NY and there is nothing that I enjoy more then being a tourist in my own city.  I wanted to quickly tell you guys about a few of my favorite places.  Maybe you'll want to visit them one day, too!

The Brooklyn Bridge:  No matter how many times I visit the Brooklyn Bridge, it never gets old.  The sunsets from here are breathtaking!

The High Line: is a 1.45-mile-long (2.33 km) New York City linear park built in Manhattan on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad.  I love to walk around or just sit and people watch.  The Chelsea Market is just minutes away; you def can't skip out on that if you're in the area.  I was just there the other day!

Brooklyn, NY:  Brooklyn is possibly my favorite out of the five boroughs.  The vibe is always on point and I love that it still has its old NY charm.  My dream is to one day own a brownstone in the area.  They're so beautiful!

Poe Park: This park will always hold a special place in my heart.  As a kid, I lived right down the block from here.  During the weekend, my mother would sit on the benches reading a book while I rode my bike in circles.  It's also where she met her best friend of 25+ years!  Fun fact: Edgar Allen Poe actually lived in that cottage; how cool is that?!

The East Village:  Since I was young(er), The Village has been my favorite place to hang out, particularly The East Village.  I used to drag my cousin here rain or shine with no plan but to walk and shop.  I've always said coming here fed my inner 90's child.  The whole village vibe just makes me happy.  I wouldn't be able to tell you just one thing I love the most; I just love it as a whole.

I hope you guys find some time to visit some of these areas.  I promise you won't regret it! What are some of your favorite neighborhoods and places to hang around?  Let me know!  I'm always down to go somewhere new.  My next stop is DUMBO; in Brooklyn of course!

xoxo,

Francheska
