Plaid Scarf + Cognac Boots

Today I feel so happy!  So many great things are happening and I am just so thankful with how everything is turning out.  Not to mention, fifth blog post in a row!  Whoop! I'm on a roll, you guys.  Anyway, these pictures were taken at random on Superbowl Sunday while visiting some friends in Long Island.  Our friends were doing the Polar Bear Plunge and we went to cheer them on.  Except that they left to the beach before us and we couldn't find them.  But hey, at least I got a photo shoot out of it!

Massimo Dutti Sleeveless Cardigan (sold out; similar here) | Massimo Dutti Long Sleeve Top (sold out) | Forever 21 Jeans (old) | Sole Society Boots (old; similar here) | Ooh la la Boutique Scarf (borrowed; similar here) | Le Spec Sunglasses (old; similar here)

Don't you love when you just throw on just anything and it looks like you actually tried.  As always, I was rushing and came up with this at the last minute.  And guess what?  I love how it came out!  Everything just flowed so well.  Burgundy and cognac go perfect together!  You can't see because the scarf is covering it but my shirt has a bit of cognac colored suede where the buttons are.  Next time I wear it, I'll make sure to get a close up.  How gorgeous is this scarf?  I borrowed it from my friend and it was so hard to give it back. lol.

I think what I love most about this look is how comfortable I felt in it.  After stepping outside of the box a little, I guess I was longing for an outfit that was more me.  Hey, the heart wants what it wants.
