Cincinnati

A couple of weekends ago, I went to visit my beautiful friend, Aisha.  It was extremely relaxing with the right dose of fun.  Just what we needed!  I had been saying for months that I was going to visit her and with a little planning I was on my way.  So, this is what I wore...

Old Navy Tank Top | H&M Skirt similar | H&M Purse similar | Rachel Roy Sandals on clearance!

I absolutely love this outfit - especially for a day of strolling through the streets of Cincinnati.  Simple black tank, circle skirt, and cute sandals - how much comfier can it get for a day of flea markets, outdoor concerts, and delicious food?  And it just so  happened that it was All Star Weekend!

Ohio is very laid back and casual so this outfit was the perfect mix of that without compromising my girly-ness (God forbid).  When I say laid back and casual, I mean laid back and casual.  High heels?  No way.  I don't think I saw anyone in a pair of heels (unless you count wedges) and honestly it was kind of refreshing.

We spent most of the day walking around and seeing what the city was all about.   OTR (Over-the-rhine) is the place to be!  I'm a pretty big "foodie" and Cinci' did not fall short of delicious food.  For breakfast, we went to Taste of Belgium.  If you ever go, do yourself a favor and have the chicken and waffles!

We went to Washington Park, where we looked around (with a new friend!) while sipping local beer.  I ended up buying some really cool vintage coasters!  I'll post a picture up on Instagram so you can see.  :)  Afterwards, we walked over to Tafts Ale House for The Summer Draft.

So happy I got to see my friend, make new ones, and visit a new city!  It what I love to do, after all.  Totally worth the ten hour drive!  Oh, and I didn't forget about NYFWM.  I guess I was overly excited about this post to even think about it.  I didn't keep up with fashion week as much as I wanted to...I know...I'm such a bad fashion blogger.  I just really was not that impressed.  It was a first for them so let's keep our fingers crossed for next season!

xoxo,
