Something about seventies fashion just pulls at my heart strings! Maybe it's the free flowing dresses or the off the shoulder tops but I just can't get enough. My love for maxi dresses have reached an extreme this season. In the past three months alone, I've bought three. (Remember, when I bought the one I'm wearing back in February?) Anyway, lets talk about how easy it is to put an outfit together with a seventies vibe - even without the flower head bands and flared jeans!
A long and flowy dress in muted colors, patchwork, and a brown woven belt, all scream seventies to me. Naturally, because you are channeling that era, you want to throw a flower in your hair and some platform clogs but don't do it. The point is to make your look "seventies inspired", not like you're going to your friends costume party. True to my minimal style, I kept it simple with black strappy sandals and simple gold hoops.
I'm not so much of a trendy person but this trend is one I can embrace. Next time, I'm going to channel the seventies by something Bianca Jagger inspired. Love her! Who's your favorite seventies fashion icon? What do you think of the seventies making a comeback? Oh, and tell me how you will be channeling your inner hippie this Spring!
As always, thank you for reading!
