So the Saturday started off just like the first day, with registration, which I skipped. I got in late the night before and as we already know, I am not an early bird. I don't know if I should even admit this, but I was so exhausted from the night before that I put my leggings on inside out. Embarrassing. Thankfully, it wasn't noticeable. I ran upstairs to change as soon as I noticed.
The keynote speaker, Isabeau Miller (some of you might remember her from the show The Biggest Loser) spoke about how changing your "why" will change your life. She spoke to us about not being afraid or ashamed of our dreams. Her message hit home because I am THE QUEEN of putting my dreams on the back burner and I can admit now that it was mainly because of fear. It's so easy to blame other things like work, friends, family, and my favorite excuse "not enough time". But why? Not because of my friends and family because I always have their support. Definitely not because of work because God knows I needed a creative outlet to escape that place. As far as time, you should never not have enough time for something that you love. So what was stopping me? Fear. Fearing of failing. Fear of putting myself out there. Fear of letting people in. Once I overcame that fear, things started falling into place. I kinda rambled on there...
Anyway, the first class I attended was Beginning Blogging. I have to say that this was my favorite class of the conference. I learned the most here and the speaker Natalie Dalpias was an amazing teacher! She really spoke with passion and I appreciated that. At the end of the class I met Denni, who the morning of my flight wrote to me on Facebook about hoping to bump into each other. I guess it was meant to be! She then introduced me to the rest of the group: Natalie, Nassari, Ani, and Kim. We instantly clicked and promised to meet up later on in the day.
After that, I had lunch with my ladies from the night before. We settled for some street tacos that were soooooo good. And of course I had to be a fatty and eat some crepes from the La Table Crepes food truck afterwards! Again, meant to be because I ran in the Utah Mama Latinas again. We attended the Instagram and Photography classes together and then went across the street to The Grand America Hotel to try their famous macaroons. We all did so much running around that day that we were beyond tired but we still had The Blogger of the Year Awards Gala to attend. I've never seen a group of women get dressed so fast in my life. You would have been proud of us if you were there. I was proud of us. lol. We laughed and danced the night away to a band called The Strike. I've fallen in love with their music and now listen to them on the regular!

Sunday morning I check out of the hotel at 12:00 pm. My flight wasn't until a few hours later so I had a lot of time to kill. That's hard when the majority of businesses in Salt Lake are closed on Sundays. I killed time by exploring the area and making another quick trip across the street for some more macaroons! Needless to say, the gym is calling my name with all the food that I ate. I finished off my trip with a train ride to the airport (much better then the $30 cab I took the day I got there) and a layover in California. I practically had to drag myself back on the plane. The weather was so beautiful!
Walking away from this conference I felt a mix of emotions. The biggest emotion of all was just being thankful for the people I have met and all that I learned. I look forward to putting everything that I have learned from #BYBC towards my blog. I feel less fearful and so much more confident. Thank you to everyone who made this weekend worthwhile for me. You all really have left a huge imprint on my heart and will be apart of some of my best memories.
