Three ways: The Ugly Christmas Sweater

I know, I know.  You guys must be sick of collages but they're just so much fun to make!  Besides, days seems so short lately, by the time I think about photographing my outfits it's already dark out.  It's a real buzz kill, honestly.  I'm going to have to start waking up earlier to get some photos in before work.  You gotta do what you gotta do!  Anyway, enough of that.  It's time to start  breaking out your ugly Christmas sweaters for all those holiday parties!  I'm not exactly sure when it became cool to wear ugly Christmas sweaters but it is.  Here I made the ugly Christmas sweater work for three different occasions.

I love the idea of dressing up an ugly Christmas sweater up for a work event.  You're able to show off your festive side and still keep it professional with these red crepe cigarette pants and classic black pumps.  The black and gold bag is sophisticated but fun and the bow earrings add a little more playfulness.

For a get-together with friends, you can just be yourself.  Dress how you like!  Give your sweater a little edge with leather shorts and a beanie.  With you being an elf and all on top, keep the rest of you outfit basic.  Ankle booties with gold zippers play up the embellishments on the sweater.

I didn't change anything about the outfit because I love it exactly as it is.  So I take no credit there.  For a family gathering, I would cover up my legs a little more with a pair of OTK boots.  They will balance out the short skirt making it more appropriate for a family event.  To make it even more festive, I would add this beaded bag and gold cuff.

I hope you are inspired to try this festive trend.  Happy ugly Christmas sweater shopping!
