Orange + Black Blanket Scarf

How was everyone's Halloween weekend?  Mine was nice and relaxing, just the way I like it.  Mike and I did a last minute trip to Long Island and spent the weekend with some awesome friends.  It had been awhile since I've seen them and it felt good to hang like old times.  I'm currently munching on some candy I stole from little Isla's goodie bag.  Isla is my friends one year old, FYI.  She won't even notice all the good stuff is gone :)

Loft Sweater (sold out; similar) |American Eagle Jeans | Shoemint Deanna Boots (sold out; similar) | Baggu Leopard Tote (also available in other colors/patterns) | H&M Scarf (similar) | Earrings (gifted) | Alex + Ani Bracelets | Urban Decay Lipstick in Venom

I don't know if you noticed my orange and black blanket scarf.  I mean, it's pretty much everything so I don't see why you wouldn't notice but hey, it happens.  Blanket scarves are my absolute favorite thing to wear during fall.  I've been rocking this H&M one non-stop since I bought it about a month ago.  This scarf was basically made for my black braided sweater from the loft.  (Remember it from last year?)  Do you see how the pattern from it mimics the one on my sweater?  LOVE that.  And how cool am I mixing patterns again.  Not so subtle this time either.  As long as you remain in the same color family, you're in the safe zone.  Zig zag and leopard play very well together when the rest of your wardrobe, for the most part, is a blank canvas.

So guys, I have bad news.  It's official.  My day job is making us wearing uniforms for work, and they are not cute either.  I'm so disappointed.  I'm starting to regret all those times I complained about not knowing what to wear in the morning.  Now I'll be wearing the same thing EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.  Oh well.  I guess wearing a uniform gives me more flexibility (financially) to buy clothes for other events and occasions.  Work clothes were always my least favorite clothes to shop for, anyway.  Hmm...maybe uniforms are not so bad after all.  Yeah, I know, who am I kidding?

I should stop complaining.  Instead,  I'm going to take advantage of whatever freedom I have at work to really kill it in the wardrobe department.  Don't worry, though.  I'll be leaving my uniform at work and going dressed in my own clothes to and from work.  My dedication is to my blog, first and foremost, and you will always find fashion inspiration here.  Even if it means I'll just be commuting in style.  ;)

P.S. How do you like my new blog format?  I'm still working on my logo and signature.  I can't wait for everything to fall into place!
